Visitor Pass Information

VISITOR PASS MANAGEMENT SYSTEM

Liberty Public Schools continues efforts to ensure our students and staff are safe while at school.  While LPS currently considers our buildings safe with state-of-the-art security systems in place, each building also utilizes a visitor pass management system. All visitors must present a government-issued ID as they enter a school facility. These types of IDs include: driver’s license, state-issued identification card, military ID, etc.

There are several important benefits this system provides to our buildings.  They include:

  • An instantaneous sexual offender background check will be run for each and every visitor to our schools.
  • Visitor badges will be issued for each visitor and will include their picture and where they are visiting.
  • Visitors on the LPS No Trespass List will be identified immediately.
  • Tracking of volunteers and their time spent in our schools.

We appreciate your partnership as we continue safety and security upgrades.

A message from LPS Director of Safety

The safety and security of all students, staff and visitors at Liberty Public Schools has been, and will remain, a top priority at each Liberty Public School facility. There are several layers of security measures currently in place to help us accomplish this goal, one of which is our visitor pass management system.

ALL visitors wishing to enter a Liberty Public School Facility shall be required to utilize the visitor pass management system.

Once students have started their school day, all buildings will be locked and secured.

Visitors wishing to enter the building must:

  • Request entry at the front door by stating their name and purpose for the visit
  • Once inside, visitors may drop off items and/or conduct business with the front office staff.

Visitors wishing to proceed past the front desk area must:

  • provide a government issued Identification card.
    • A state issued drivers license or
    • identification card or
    • current military identification card
  •  The visitor’s identification will be scanned to ensure they are not prohibited from entry based on being on a sexual offender list or the LPS No Trespass List.
  • Once approved the visitor will be issued a badge that must be worn while inside the school.

Liberty Public Schools appreciates the cooperation of our community in keeping our schools safe and secure. School safety is everyone’s responsibility. We ask that you be aware of your surroundings and immediately report anything that may appear suspicious or out of place.

As always, if you have any questions or concerns, do not hesitate to contact us.
